Abstract

Indonesian has an important role in the education system. By learning Indonesian at school, students can have language skills such as listening, speaking, reading, and writing. The abilities possessed by students not only support the success of language subjects but can support success in other learning subjects. Therefore, Indonesian is also an introduction to the learning process that can be used as a liaison between teachers and students so that learning activities can run smoothly. Therefore, Indonesian language lessons are privileged in the 2013 curriculum. The formulation of the problem in this PTK is: 1) How is the application of the problem-based learning model to Indonesian language lessons for the text of the Observation Report for Class VII F students of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, in the 2022/2023 academic year? 2) What are the results of applying the problem-based learning model to Indonesian language lessons Text material Observation Reports for Class VII F students of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023?

The objectives of this classroom action research are 1) Want to know the application of problem-based learning models in Indonesian language lessons Text material Observation Reports for Class VII F students of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, Academic Year 2022/2023. 2) Want to know the results of implementing a learning-based model problems in Indonesian language lessons Text material Observation Report on Class VII F students of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang Cirebon Regency Academic Year 2022/2023. This classroom action research was carried out in Class VII F of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, for the 2022/2023 academic year for the Indonesian language subject. The subjects in this study were Class VII F of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, for the 2022/2023 academic year with a total of 32 students. This research was conducted at the beginning of the new school year 2022/2023, namely Cycle I Monday, 03 October 2022, Cycle II 10 October 2022. The timing of the research refers to the school's academic calendar because PTK requires several cycles which require an effective teaching and learning process in class. Problem Based Learning (PBL) is an educational method that encourages students to get to know how to learn and work together in groups to find solutions to real-world problems. Problem simulation is used to activate students' curiosity before starting to study a subject. Students are required to be responsible for the education they are undergoing, and are directed not to depend too much on the teacher so as to form independent students who can continue the learning process in the life and career they will live.
