Abstract

In carrying out its functions and duties, the teacher as a profession bears certain requirements as stated in the Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System. In article 39 (1) and (2) it is stated that: Education personnel are tasked with carrying out administration, management, development, supervision and technical services to support the educational process in educational units. The formulation of the problem in this PTS is how is the implementation of school principal supervision with group techniques (Meetings) in improving teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year? In accordance with the problems described above, the research objective to be achieved is to find out how the implementation of school principal supervision with group techniques (Meetings) improves teacher performance at SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency. The object of research in this PTS was all 56 teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency. In this school action research (PTS), the research subjects were teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, because the researcher was the principal of this school. This school action research plan was carried out for cycle I in the 2nd (second) week of September 2022 and cycle II was carried out in the 2nd (second) week of October 2022. This School Action Research was carried out in 2 (two) cycles, namely Cycle I was carried out in the second week of September 2022 and Cycle II was carried out in the second week of October 2022, for 56 (fifty six) teachers the total number of teachers in junior high school was taken Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency. Based on the results of data analysis in both cycle I and cycle II, it can be concluded that: 1) There is an influence of the supervision of the school principal on improving the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency. This is evident from the results of the analysis value of the first cycle, the average percentage was 67.26%, increasing to 78.12%. 2) The magnitude of the influence of the principal's supervision on the performance of teachers at SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, in this study was 10.86%.
