Abstract

In UU No. 14 of 2005 concerning teachers and lecturers also states that teachers are professional educators with the main task of educating, teaching, guiding, directing, training, assessing and evaluating students. That is, the teacher is a special field of work whose duties must be carried out with professional principles. The formulation of the problem in this PTS is 1) Does supervision through increasing the ability of teachers overcome the weaknesses of the shortage of teachers in managing learning at SMP Negeri 2 Weru Cirebon Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year? 2) Can the teacher's ability to manage learning improve the quality of learning at SMP Negeri 2 Weru Cirebon Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year?

The purpose of this school action research is: "Improving teachers' ability to manage learning through supervision can improve the quality of learning at SMP Negeri 2 Weru Cirebon Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year." This research is the result of teacher supervision in carrying out learning, carried out for three months from August 2022 to October 2022, starting from preparation to reporting on School Action Research (PTS). The subjects of this study were 43 teachers at SMPN 2 Weru Cirebon Regency for the 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the results of the analysis and discussion in cycle I and cycle II mentioned above, the authors can conclude the results of school action research as follows: 1) The teacher's ability to manage learning can increase in the preparation of learning carried out by the teacher with the acquisition of an average observation score of 75 .3 in cycle I became 82.3 in cycle II 2) In the process of implementing teacher learning in managing learning there was an increase, because the acquisition of an average score of 76.2 in cycle I became 83.0 in cycle II 3) In learning evaluation activities carried out by the teacher obtained an average score of 75 in cycle I to 81 in cycle II, this indicates an increase in understanding of the material presented in the KBM 4) Research conducted outside of improving "Teacher's Ability to Manage Learning through Supervision of Coaching to Improve the Quality of Learning At SMP Negeri 2 Weru, Cirebon Regency, 20 Academic Years n. 22/2023“ .
