Abstract

School is a formal educational institution that provides opportunities for students to learn what they need to know in order to think smart and act fast. This is in line with Law No. 20 of 2003 concerning the National Education System which states that "Education is a conscious and planned effort to create an atmosphere of learning and learning so that students actively develop their potential to have religious spiritual strength, self-control, personality, intelligence, noble character, and skills needed by himself, society, nation and state. The formulation of the problems in this PTK are 1) Does counseling using the Reverse Approach (Reciprocal Teaching) Guidance Counseling about “Future career planning” in class IX B SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang Cirebon Regency improve student learning activities in a better direction?2 ) How to use the Reverse Approach (Reciprocal Teaching) in Counseling Guidance on the material "Future career planning" class IX B SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency? The purpose of conducting classroom action research in class IX B of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency in Guidance and Counseling on the service material "Future career planning" is: to increase motivation, and enthusiasm for student learning in a better direction so that the goals of the learning and educational process it will be easy. The time of the research was carried out during Counseling learning hours on "Future career planning" with the Reverse Approach Model (Reciprocal Teaching) in class IX B of SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency. On Saturday, September 15 2022 for Cycle I and October 22 2022 for Cycle II. The subjects of this classroom action research were 30 students in class IX B, SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang, Cirebon Regency, for the 2022-2023 academic year. The subject of this research is taken as a whole, as an object of research because it assumes that the characteristics and abilities are considered the same. And researchers want to find effective learning strategies to increase enthusiasm in learning to achieve an expected goal. From the results of research and discussion, that the use of the Reverse Approach Model (Reciprocal Teaching) in Counseling Guidance learning about "Future career planning" in class IX B SMP Negeri 2 Jamblang Cirebon Regency can be concluded, Quantitatively, the results of the pretest and posttest show the average score, namely, 1) The initial results show an average score of,57.18. 2) The results in the first cycle increased to an average score of 68.43. 3) The results in cycle II rose to an average score of 83.75.
